BSN TO FURTHER IMPROVE ITS SERVICES AND OPERATIONS

Deployment Of New Core Banking System To Take Place Over Merdeka Weekend

 

Kuala Lumpur, 17 August 2018 – BSN today announced that it would migrate to a new core banking system to upgrade systems and capability levels to improve our service deliveries. The extensive migration exercise will take place over the National day holidays and at its peak starting from 31 August 2018 until 4 September 2018 at 11.00 am, involving about 6,000 staff.

“We take this opportunity to thank all our customers in advance for their patience and understanding, as all of our banking services will be unavailable except for purchases made via BSN Credit Cards at other banks’ terminals during the migration exercise,” said Datuk Yunos Abd Ghani, Chief Executive of BSN. 

The system migration over the National day holidays is necessary to allow for branch closures and affect the least number of customers. We have taken steps and measures to notify our customers via SMS blasts, alerts in our social media platform, website, account statements and notices placed at all our branches nationwide since July 2018 on the scheduled system migration. 

“The implementation of the new core banking system is a significant milestone for BSN with the aim to provide every Malaysian the opportunity to enjoy a better life by enabling better financial future through our extensive network and range of services,” he added. 

With the new Integrated Core Banking System implementation, BSN looks forward to exciting new capabilities in our growth journey.
