Contribute 7 Dialysis Machines Worth RM282 Thousand to YIDE


Klang, 16 March 2019 – Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) today has delivered seven (7) dialysis machines worth RM282 thousand to Yayasan Islam Darul Ehsan (YIDE), a charity organization set up by the Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS) which serves as a relief and welfare agency to the Muslim community in Selangor. 

Yang Berbahagia Datuk Yunos Abd Ghani, Chief Executive BSN has handed over mock up cheque of the dialysis machine to His Royal Highness Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, Raja Muda of Selangor. Also present at the event were Yang Berhormat Puan Dr. Daroyah Alwi, State Assemblyman of Sementa; Yang Berbahagia Dato 'Haji Bakhtiar Bin Hussin, YIDE Board of Trustees; Encik Nur Muhammad Razali Bin Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer of YIDE; Encik Abdul Basith Bin Hamid, Chief Coordinating Officer of Lembaga Zakat Selangor and the management of BSN.​​​ 

Speaking at the event, Yang Berbahagia Datuk Yunos Abd Ghani, Chief Executive BSN said, "BSN has always supported programs that contribute to the development of social community and this donation of dialysis machines to YIDE is a part our corporate social responsibility innitiative through the provision of zakat from the operations of the 'Banking Scheme Islam '(SPI) BSN." 

"At BSN, we are not only offering a financial solutions towards all community but also committed to provide an assistance to those in need; not to mention assistance to kidney patients who receive their hemodialysis treatment in six (6) of MAIS Dialysis Center outlets. We have been informed that any branch of MAIS Dialysis Center has average between six (6) to twelve (12) dialysis machines that are able to accommodate a total of 36 to 76 patients per week. All of the machines operate in three (3) shifts everyday non stop which has affected the wera and tear of these machines.f. Therefore, we hope that through the new dialysis machine donated by BSN will enable patients to have proper and convenient treatment," he said.​​ 

Apart of handing over the donation, BSN has also participated in a charity cycling program held in conjunction with worldwide kidneys day. The charity cycling event was organized in collaboration with the Lembaga Zakat Selangor which brought together over 500 cycling participants comprising of bicycle clubs around Klang Valley, corporate agencies and the public.​ 

The 12 km charity cycling program was held at Al-Islah Mosque, Kg. Sementa Kapar as the location of the flag-off as well as the finish point. DYTM Raja Muda of Selangor as well as other participants were also visiting the asnaf and dialysis patient families along the cycling route besides visiting the MAIS Dialysis Center, Kapar Branch.
